I'm using the StarGazer theme which doesn't use the WidgetZone control or the widgetselector combo, and I'm trying to add the Poll widget to it but it does not load the editor or the polls. After debugging a bit I found that if a them isn't in the be_WIDGET_ZONE.xml file it isn't loaded by BE. I tried adding the combo to the theme but it throws a "Thread was being aborted." exception in WidgetEditor.AddWidget on the line Response.End();. It adds an entry to the file but it doesn't load the widget. Am I missing something or do widgets need to be hosted in the WidgetZone?
