Okay in my blogengine I have check marked moderate comments because I am getting hit with all kinds of payday or loan spam. My question is how do i know when I have a comment to approve? Does it show up in my email inbox? or where does it show up?

You can set BlogEngine to email you when you have had a comment, then as long as you are logged in - if you click the delete link in the email it will delete the comment.
